Asiga Guam is a plant-based dessert shop in Hagåtña, Guam, serving dairy-free ice creams and locally roasted coffee. Their website didn’t reflect the care behind the brand. That’s where we stepped in.
Asiga is an indigenous CHamoru-owned café offering plant-based sweets and small-batch coffee in Guam. They use local ingredients like mango, banana, coconut, and raw honey collected from their own hives.
The name Asiga means “salt” in CHamoru, symbolizing the deep cultural roots and preservation that guide their work. Everything they serve is made in-house, with a focus on quality and sustainability.
Asiga’s previous website lacked identity and clarity. It didn’t speak to their story, didn’t support mobile users, and had no SEO framework.
Their goals were clear:
We began with a Figma prototype that captured the proposed design, storytelling structure, and interactive elements. The client could explore the clickable prototype, review the navigation flow, and see how the brand’s personality would be reflected online. We implemented their feedback before moving to development.
The new design puts storytelling and simplicity at the core. Calming colors drawn from Guam’s natural landscape and generous white space allow content to breathe. Typography, spacing, and visual hierarchy were chosen to feel as handcrafted as the products themselves. The “About” section was rebuilt to tell Asiga’s origin story with authenticity and heart.
We optimized the site for mobile performance, integrated schema for local business SEO, and created editable content blocks so the Asiga team can easily update flavors and announcements. The navigation was simplified, and a Google Maps integration was added to make the café easy to find. SEO-ready metadata, headings, and alt text were implemented to improve visibility for relevant searches.
